Dear Senator Flake,
To echo former US Representative Gabrielle Giffords, “Moments ago, the U.S. Senate decided to do the unthinkable about gun violence — nothing at all. Over two years ago, when I was shot point-blank in the head, the U.S. Senate chose to do nothing. Four months ago, 20 first-graders lost their lives in a brutal attack on their school, and the U.S. Senate chose to do nothing. It’s clear to me that if members of the U.S. Senate refuse to change the laws to reduce gun violence, then we need to change the members of the U.S. Senate.”
Shame on you Senator Flake. You call Gabrielle Giffords a friend while voting to prevent a vote on a bill she supports, a bill that might mean someone else isn’t shot it the head. Please know that I will dedicate myself to ensuring you are not reelected to represent this state. Your failure to do the people’s work by preventing a vote on a bill more than 90% of the American people support proves you are unfit for office. You have zero credibility because you would rather take money from the NRA and gun manufacturer’s than support the will of the people.
Well, this American and this Arizonan has had enough. You have nothing but my contempt, Senator, and the promise that I will dedicate my time and resources to your defeat.
